The Data Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and protecting organizational data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain data management systems and databases.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across platforms.
- Perform regular data quality checks, backups, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with IT, business units, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and optimize data workflows.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Maintain documentation for data processes, policies, and procedures.
- Enforce data governance standards and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Provide support and training to end-users on data systems and tools.
- Assist with data migration, integration, and transformation projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Administrator, Database Administrator, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Knowledge of data security, backup, and recovery best practices.
- Familiarity with data visualization, analytics, and reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Certification in database or data management tools (e.g., Microsoft SQL certification).
