The CCTV Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the CCTV operations within the organization, ensuring the effective and secure monitoring, recording, and storage of surveillance footage. This role involves supervising a team of CCTV operators, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with security protocols and legal regulations, and coordinating with internal security teams to support overall safety and loss prevention objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the CCTV control room, ensuring continuous surveillance and monitoring of designated areas.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule CCTV operators and security staff.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CCTV operations.
  • Monitor live feeds and recorded footage to identify security breaches, incidents, or suspicious activities.
  • Coordinate with security, law enforcement, and relevant departments in case of incidents.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CCTV equipment, working with vendors for repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensure that all CCTV operations comply with local laws, privacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports of incidents, system status, and operational issues.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to surveillance systems and technologies.
  • Manage data storage and backup of surveillance footage in accordance with data retention policies.
  • Provide evidence and footage when required for investigations or legal proceedings.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure system functionality and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CCTV operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance technology, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant privacy and data protection laws.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
