We are seeking a creative and inspiring Art Instructor to lead engaging art classes for students of various age groups and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual arts, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for nurturing artistic expression in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver art lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
- Teach foundational techniques and advanced methods across a variety of art mediums
- Encourage creativity while helping students build confidence in their artistic abilities
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and student needs
- Provide constructive feedback and individual guidance to students
- Organize student exhibitions, art shows, and collaborative projects
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom or studio environment
- Stay current with art education trends, tools, and materials
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate attendance and evaluation records
- Collaborate with other educators and school staff on cross-disciplinary activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Proven experience as an art instructor, teacher, or studio artist
- Strong portfolio showcasing personal and student work
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching art
- Ability to work with students of different ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with both traditional and digital art tools is a plus
