I have extensive data analytics and research experience, both in academic and professional settings. In both school and in my field of work, I have been able to work with numerous types of data sets, utilizing data to solve problems related to each stated goal. In working on these problems, I have used tools including but not limited to Excel, Python, Stata, R, SQL, Power BI, and Qualtrics, as well as applications of statistical theory.

• Partnered with subject area experts to jumpstart the creation of a follow-up to Pew’s 2020 “Breaking the Plastic Wave” assessment. • Utilized extensive internet research to create a comprehensive data template to be used for data collection along all aspects of the plastics value chain. • Cooperated with external contractors to ensure data collection was well documented in line with Pew’s standards.
• Responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing education data for numerous projects at the national, state, and local levels, including but not limited to: ➢ Managed cleaning, organization, and analysis of data collected from the Kentucky Math Achievement Fund (MAF). ➢ Conducted survey research and interviews with elementary school principals for a state level study of teacher departmentalization. ➢ Investigated national, state, and local level trends of high school graduation requirements as part of a study on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on schools.
• Spearheaded the creation of a Power BI dashboard displaying various infographics showing the status of audits being conducted within EPA research projects. • Acted as the secondary contact source for audit coordination for EPA research offices. • Assisted in updating the online database tracker for the Office of Research and Development’s Performance team.
• Collected and analyzed data for projects designed to improve educational outcomes in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Chicago in partnership with city government and nonprofit organizations. • Administered surveys to the general population with Qualtrics and Amazon Mechanical Turk. • Collaborated with social science experts to determine project expansion methods and innovative questions. • Employed R, Stata, and Python to create data summaries, visualizations, and reports. Methods used included multiple types of regression analysis and hypothesis testing.
