Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant to design, develop, and optimize SAP applications leveraging SAP HANA capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with modern ABAP development, performance optimization on HANA, and exposure to S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP applications optimized for SAP HANA
  • Migrate and optimize legacy ABAP programs to ABAP on HANA standards
  • Develop and maintain CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL for high-performance data processing
  • Work on S/4HANA custom developments, enhancements, and interfaces
  • Implement code push-down techniques to improve system performance
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization
  • Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines
  • Support integration with SAP and non-SAP systems (IDocs, RFC, OData, APIs)
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in SAP ABAP with hands-on ABAP on HANA development
  • Proficiency in CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, and HANA SQL concepts
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations
  • Solid understanding of SAP data models and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with ALV, Reports, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, SmartForms/Adobe Forms
  • Knowledge of OData services and SAP Gateway
  • Familiarity with Fiori/UI5 integration is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP ABAP on HANA or S/4HANA certification
  • Experience in ECC to S/4HANA migration projects
  • Exposure to RAP, BOPF, or RESTful programming models

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 3–8 years of relevant SAP ABAP experience (adjustable based on role level)
