About Candidate
I am an Environmental Anthropologist finalising my PhD at The University of Queensland, with a decade of experience designing and conducting rigorous qualitative research at the intersection of academia and applied practice, as well as in tutoring and teaching positions. My research critically examines the interface between extractive industries, environmental governance, and traditional communities (Quilombola and Indigenous), employing deep ethnographic and decolonial methods. My work translates complex community realities into frameworks for socio-environmental impact assessment, ESG strategy, and post-disaster repair. I have a strong record of securing competitive grants, publishing monographs and peer-reviewed articles, and disseminating research at leading international conferences.
