About Candidate

My experience with research involves performing literature reviews during my graduate program, working as a Research Assistant for a professor and publishing my thesis. I have also performed research in a professional capacity. At the Toa Reinsurance Company, I researched information and data related to Indian agricultural market and production. I created a presentation of this information for management to aid them in expanding into a new market and negotiating contracts.

I have over 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst with 3 years working in a remote environment. I have extensive experience using Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of statistical tools such as R, SAS and STATA. At the BLS, I extensively utilized SAS for 3 years and R for 2 years to analyze and manage large data sets. I worked in a fast paced publication and collaborative team environment. I was also the project lead for the Modeled Wage Estimates team where I created and maintained project plans, collaborated with a cross functional team and updated management on progress. I also helped increase efficiency in publication workflows by creating process and documentation for multiple publications. I created factsheets that highlighted BLS data and explained complex survey concepts for the public. I also created presentations for the Employee Benefits publications to the Associate Commissioner and division.
