About Candidate
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I moved to Wisconsin in 2010 where I began my bartending career. I have bartended on and off for over 10 years, and was a bar manager at one point in time. I decided to go back and finish school in 2021. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in December 2024 with a BA in anthropology and an Indigenous Studies Certificate. I have conducted research at the University of Wisconsin during the Fall semester of 2023. During this time, I completed the CITI training needed to conduct interviews, interviewed individuals about their sense of belonging on campus, transcribed and coded interviews, completed observations around campus, and worked closely with other student researchers to put together a final paper on our results. For my Capstone, I conducted a study on why there has been a decrease in natality among millennials. And lastly, I had a summer job as an Ethnographic Researcher at the University of Wisconsin studying individuals’ perceptions on the harmful algae blooms in the Winnebago Pool Systems.
