Design, implement, troubleshoot and maintain routed and switched environment using Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) components and legacy Cisco Nexus 7018’s, 5020’s, 2148’s, Cisco 2960X’s, 3560E’s and Cisco 3110 Blade Enclosure Switches. Write ACI contracts, provision virtual switches (VDCs) and associated resources, manage IP space, configure Cisco 6509, ASA 5585X Firepower clusters’ firewall policy, utilize Netscout Infinistream and nGenius ONE traffic capture/sniffing devices, use Red Hat Linux terminal and Raritan KVM devices. Setup and maintain syslog and SNMP monitor and control environments. Design and maintain High Availability using BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, LACP and Virtual Port Channeling (vpc) protocols for intra-switch interconnects and to numerous blade enclosures, mainframe, disk arrays and specialized servers. Ensure compliance with Army Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) through asset auditing and scans using network-mapper (NMAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to remediate known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). Develop documentation and monitor performance of network assets for several consolidated datacenters directly enabling HQ US Army Human Resources Command to support the whole of the Army and Veterans.

Oversee, troubleshoot and maintain DKET, RHN, KaSTARS, Teleport terminals and two GBS receive only VSAT’s and supporting equipment. Utilize TMCS software for terminal monitoring. Assist Army in operations of AN/FSC-78, AN/GSC-39, and JNN terminals and AN/USC-28 and supporting equipment. Operate in X, C, Ku, L and Ka bands. Access to DSCS, Intelsat and EUTELSAT satellites. Use FCC-100, Promina mux/router, MIDAS, SMU, TimePlex, Linkway 2100, Linkway S2 and iDirect modems, DMD-15, DMD-20 and DMD-2050 modems, BEM, EBEM, SLM, Canoga Perkins, Ortel and Foxcom fiber modems, OM-73, KG-240, KG-175, 175A, 175B, 175D and KG-250, KIV-19, KIV-7 and KIV-7M, STE/STU III etc. Signal characterization using Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meter, Multimeter, Bit Error Rate Test Sets. Troubleshoot and configure Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, call managers, ASA, CSM, Cisco MARS and Redcom PBX, TNX-210 fiber ATM. Daily use of WireShark software. Maintain Sun Solaris servers and Linux Redhat in daily operations. Operate, troubleshoot and maintain the DVB-RCS (Digital Video Broadcast). Make detailed notes of events in FaCIT and use Remedy ticketing system. Understand and utilize Cesium and Rubidium atomic clocks to allow remote users and local equipment to derive timing standard for frame sync when GPS is contested.

Deploys, sustains, troubleshoots and repairs standard radio frequency wireless, line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, and ground-based satellite and encryption transmission devices in a fixed and deployed environment. Included are multiple waveform systems operating across the spectrum, keying and signal devices; telemetry, and instrumentation systems. Establishes and maintains circuits, configures and manages system and network connectivity.
