The Director, Test and Certification is responsible for oversight of all aspects of new test and certification program development and ongoing program management, with the overarching goals of achieving KPI targets for each program including P&L targets. New Program Development The Director, Test and Certification is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive plans to bring new test and certification programs to market in a timely and efficient fashion. Key responsibilities include: Working with the executive team to establish new program priorities and timelines Development and presentation of brief, high level business plans designed to support new program decision making Establishment of detailed project plans, and re-usable templates to coordinate all aspects of program development with staff, committee chairs, member company participants and accredited test partners Management of all program rollout-out activities, including delegation to and coordination of business development, marketing, technical, financial, legal and other staff and contracted resources Development of program assets such as data sheets, FAQs, presentation, web content etc. If applicable, seek new test and certification partners and establish qualification processes Act as the interface to the Test and Certification Committee (TCC), promoting and facilitating member engagement, maintaining compliance to relevant rules and procedures Act in a pre-sales capacity to secure initial program-seeding contracts Ongoing Program Management Maintain a high-level roadmap of Test and Certification projects, in harmony with TCC Working with Business Development operations prime, ensure all forecasting and dashboard capabilities are in place Establish processes and templates for, and conduct program reviews at appropriate cadences, as required by TCC and the COO Proactive recommendation for program changes as required to address issues and meet targets Prime relationship management with Accredited Test and Certification Partners (ACTPs), coordinating all day-day and periodic relationship management activities Ongoing support for sales activities Ad-hoc Activities Occasional contributions and or leadership of standards activities in support of Test and Certification programs

Worked with the COO to successfully create and launch the industry’s 1st SASE Certification program, resulting being hired as the director of Test and Certification.

Design of Customer implementations and System Architectures for SD-WAN and SD-LAN. Edited the industry’s 1st SASE Service standard. Key stakeholder who worked with the CTO and Product Management team to define the design and architecture for SD-LAN, SD-WiFi, SASE, and Concerto. Expertise in design of workflows for SD-LAN and SD-WAN, and unique customer solutions, such as CALEA compliant solutions.

Lead engineer responsible for Proof of Concepts, Designs, and certifications of emerging technologies such as SD-WAN and SD-Access, as well as the standards for corporate network configurations for routers, switches, terminal servers, and access points. Project Manager that successfully converted Verizon Wireless retail stores to an SD-WAN solution. Project Manager that successfully replaced the 1RU Cisco switches in the corporate network with an open Edgecore switch and Pica8 software. Upon my recommendation, Extreme switches were implemented in the corporate networks as a secondary switch choice. Over 30 years of networking experience in networking protocols (Layer 2, Layer 3, Layer 4, and Layer 7), security and cloud technologies, expertise in building standards, implementation procedures, and certification processes and methodologies.
