About Candidate

I am writing to express my keen interest in a position with your organization. I hold an MSc in Public Health, cum laude, and bring more than seven years of experience leading monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for large-scale USAID/PEPFAR health development programs across five countries in Southern Africa. Throughout my career, I have partnered with government, private-sector, and community stakeholders to design data-driven strategies that deliver sustainable and measurable results for local communities. In the next phase of my career, I am eager to support mission-driven organizations and philanthropists to lead sustainable social change at a global scale.
In my current role as Program Consultant at the Clinical HIV Research Unit (CHRU), I lead research and support implementation strategy for an innovative HIV medications across Gauteng Province, South Africa. This includes designing nationwide sociological studies on health worker and end-user demand, and integrating quantitative and qualitative analyses with GIS mapping to inform rollout models. Collaborating closely with provincial and national HIV prevention partners, I contribute to evidence generation that drives policy and programmatic decisions, objectives central to public and social impact initiatives.
As Senior M&E Manager at Right to Care, I directed strategy and implementation for USAID/PEPFAR-funded HIV programs spanning more than 800 facilities in Malawi and Zambia. I led international multidisciplinary teams to build and manage strategic frameworks, data systems, and management processes to enable rapid problem-solving and effective decision-making in resource-constrained settings. This involved crafting program Theories of Change, M&E Frameworks, Workplans and the required data systems/processes, budgets, and research agendas to achieve objectives. Through routine performance reviews, program data analysis, and stakeholder management, the Zambia program thrived and grew from 40 to 774 facilities within five years. Additionally, over the course of the Zambia grant, my team transitioned all operations to our local partners, fully embedding the program structure into day-to-day operations to drive sustained development. Additionally, I drafted the successful Malawi CDC grant for HIV care and led the implementation of the new program. Workplans, budgets, medical staff allocations, data policies, and data systems were all successfully formulated and implemented within the program’s first year. These experiences honed my ability to manage multi-country workstreams, track deliverables, and foster learning across diverse program teams, skills critical to supporting multi-partner initiatives.
Beyond direct service delivery, I concurrently orchestrated and delivered collaborative capacity strengthening initiatives with the governments of Lesotho and Eswatini, and local NGOs. I was responsible for M&E webinars, trainings, and workshops based on capacity strengthening areas identified in an organizational capacity assessment. I co-developed national HIV strategic models and frameworks (Theory of Change, National Strategy Plan, Logic Model, Results Framework, costed M&E Plan) through joint drafting sessions, consultative workshops, and presentations with diverse executive teams and international stakeholders. The experience taught me to balance structure and adaptability, to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to build an appropriate solution. I believe these skills would serve me well in the new position, both in working with clients and in a work team.
