Education
I first began my studies in psychology at Fullerton college, graduating with honors and transferring to California State University Fullerton in August of 2022.
At CSUF, I not only continued my dedication to my academic coursework, I also gained valuable field work experience working as a research assistant under the supervision of Doctor David Gerkens. This internship provided me with valuable knowledge concerning research protocol, ethical regulations, participant interactions, and statistical analysis.
Work & Experience
Under the direction of Doctor David Gerkens, I oversaw subject participation in memory studies focused on the theory predictive processing. I would brief and debrief participants, as well as answer any questions they had during the experiment, and after the procedure I saved participant data to the appropriate files. Once the data was saved, I would also run statistical analysis using SPSS, write results using APA 7th edition format, and generate visual aids such as bar graphs and scatter plots to illustrate data trends. The ethics training required to work in this position also gave me considerable knowledge regarding federal regulations around research with human participants, including 45 CFR 46.
