About Candidate

I am a Medical Doctor (MBChB) with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Social Sciences and postgraduate clinical research training from Harvard University. I bring a multidisciplinary background that combines clinical medicine, social science, research, counselling, writing, and even work on NLP AI models. I am naturally curious, enjoy learning new concepts and tools, and tend to pick up new skills quickly—whether research methods, therapeutic frameworks, or technical systems.

My research experience and training include mixed‑methods approaches (qualitative and quantitative), Participatory Action Research (PAR), data management and analysis using REDCap and STATA, literature reviews, and SOP development. I have contributed to HIV‑focused clinical studies and am comfortable collecting, organizing, and interpreting data in line with research ethics and protocols. I have hands‑on experience summarizing findings and preparing written research outputs.

Alongside research, I work as a registered counsellor and coach, which has strengthened my communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently. This work has also deepened my understanding of human behaviour, trauma, and social context—an asset when conducting research that involves real‑world populations.

I am particularly drawn to research environments that are collaborative, flexible, and growth‑oriented. I enjoy working with other researchers, and would love to contribute to publications and presentations and expand my skill set across diverse projects. My background reflects a pattern of learning, adapting, and integrating new knowledge across disciplines, and I am motivated by roles that allow me to continue developing while contributing meaningful, high‑quality work.

I am comfortable working remotely, managing multiple tasks, and taking initiative while remaining attentive to detail and ethical standards. My goal is to contribute to rigorous, thoughtful research that supports innovation, equity, and long‑term impact.
