About Candidate
I hold a Master of Health Studies with a focus on Health Research and Leadership, along with a Bachelor of Biopharmaceutical Science and professional experience supporting research, analysis, and reporting in the federal public service. My background combines strong academic training with hands-on experience in applied research and data analysis.
Throughout my studies, I gained hands-on experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing findings into policy briefs, research reports, and knowledge translation materials for diverse audiences. I also developed expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods using SPSS and NVivo, enabling me to generate evidence-based insights that inform decision-making.
Most recently, I worked as an Epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), where I supported the development of a technical policy report on environmental surveillance of antimicrobial resistance. In this role, I conducted secondary research, gathered and analyzed primary data through stakeholder interviews, maintained tracking databases, and developed evidence-based presentations to inform decision-making.
Previously, I played a key role in the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale forums at Health Canada. This involved preparing briefing materials, coordinating project documentation, analyzing survey data, and producing post-event reports with actionable findings. In my earlier role as a Program Officer at PHAC, I synthesized survey data and stakeholder feedback to inform strategic decisions for employee engagement initiatives, further strengthening my skills in data interpretation and knowledge translation.
Across these roles, I have developed strong analytical and communication skills, along with a proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs in fast-paced, interdisciplinary environments. I am eager to contribute to research projects that require rigor, coordination, and effective reporting.

I completed a Master of Health Studies at Athabasca University with a focus in Health Research and Leadership. Projects focused on using evidence-based practice to develop, implement, and evaluate policies to address public health issues. I gained hands-on experience in research, including authoring literature reviews, policy briefs, and knowledge translation products targeting various audiences, such as policymakers and researchers. As a part of the health research training, I used SPSS to perform statistical tests and quantitatively report findings. I also worked with NVivo to qualitatively code data, identify themes, and visualize findings.
I completed an Honours Bachelor of Biopharmaceutical Science with a focus on genomics at the University of Ottawa. The program provided interdisciplinary training in fields such as biology, chemistry, and genomics, with an emphasis on clearly communicating technical concepts through regular report writing.
