Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and methodical Archaeologist to join our research and field investigation team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about uncovering historical artifacts, analyzing cultural remains, and contributing to the understanding of ancient civilizations through fieldwork, research, and preservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct archaeological field surveys and excavations at designated sites
• Analyze and interpret artifacts, structures, and other cultural materials
• Use GIS, mapping, and excavation tools to document and record findings
• Prepare detailed reports, site plans, and academic papers for publication and presentation
• Collaborate with historians, geologists, and other researchers for interdisciplinary studies
• Ensure compliance with heritage preservation laws and ethical excavation standards
• Supervise field crews and manage excavation logistics
• Assist in curating artifacts and coordinating with museums and conservation facilities
• Educate the public and stakeholders through tours, lectures, and exhibitions
• Stay updated with the latest archaeological research methods and technologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
• Field experience in excavation and survey projects
• Knowledge of archaeological recording techniques and stratigraphy
• Familiarity with carbon dating, soil analysis, and material classification
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work in remote or physically demanding environments
• Excellent organizational and team collaboration abilities
• Experience with heritage management and conservation practices is a plus
