We are seeking a data-driven and results-oriented Category Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of assigned product categories. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective category strategies, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive revenue growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute end-to-end category management strategies to enhance product performance, pricing, and profitability.
- Perform in-depth retail planning, sales analysis, and trend forecasting to support assortment decisions.
- Optimize merchandising plans in collaboration with marketing and visual teams to improve customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong supplier management practices, including negotiations and performance evaluations.
- Ensure inventory optimization through data-driven stock planning and demand forecasting.
- Leverage retail analytics and consumer insights to refine strategies and improve category performance.
- Stay informed on consumer behavior, market shifts, and competitive activity to ensure agile response and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a similar retail-focused role.
- Advanced skills in Excel, analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and planning software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of supply chain and retail operations.
