Job Description

Uber is a leading technology company that is seeking a Finance Intern to join their Strategic Finance team. The intern will support financial planning, assist with decision-making for new initiatives, and lead operational initiatives to enhance efficiency within the company.

Financial Planning: be part of the team that is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Uber’s global business

Strategic Thinking: Apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunities

Financial Modeling: Build intricate financial models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models down into component parts

Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives that help us scale from startup to enterprise

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in a BS/BA program in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a similar field (graduation date Winter 2026 – Spring 2027)

Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel/gSheets

Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, activities, or internship opportunities

Preferred

Prior analytical internship experience in the technology industry, including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting or private equity

Leadership positions in any extracurricular activities

Proven understanding of GAAP, enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and/or statistical software packages

Outstanding analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to structure effective presentations

Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast paced environment

Self-starter – you take initiative, set goals, and meet them
